The Journey to Peru starts now

When you travel in Peru between cities, e.g. between Lima and Huancayo the roads going up into the mountains are very winding. The most economical way to travel between cities is to travel by bus, but you will feel better traveling at night because you will not see the hairpin curves. The drivers are experienced as they make these trips hundreds of times but it can still provoke anxiety to see the curves in the road.  As a reminder watch your valuables, because the intercity buses turn off most of their lights and if your purse or camera or passport is easily within reach of others, you will not have it for long.
