Would My Building Pass the Test?
How difficult is it to get your building rated by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design? My contractor and architect worked very hard to make my building as “green” and as energy efficient as possible when renovating and I’d like to be able to say that we are or have been LEED certified. Is it simply a matter of applying and paying a fee to be declared energy efficient or is there a rigorous rating system that the building must stand up to? Before applying and paying a fee, is there a way to know how I would do on such a rating system?
