Tap water in fine cuisine
Some restaurants baulk at the idea of serving their customers Tap Water. Their reasoning I suppose is that they need to make money wherever they can and if people are demanding free tap water when the restaurant has supplies of bottled purified water to hand, then it is losing out. This is hardly fair on paying customers. If you are going into a pricey restaurant and ordering and expensive two or even three course meal, you shouldn’t feel guilty about getting your entitled free glass of water. Restaurants should be encouraging us to drink more anyway as it cleanses the palette- and soul.
