Is a CFO Really Better Than an Accountant?
I believe a lot of mid-market companies out there are using a standard CPA or their local accountant instead of hiring an actually CFO. This could prove to be a big mistake in the long run. There are certain things that a CFO can do for your company that an accountant might not be able to pull off. I mean sure there’s all the tax stuff and money stuff that’s pretty basic to an accountant and CFO, but what would you be missing out on? Why should you hire your CFO and kick your accountant to the curb? Well, it’s just smart that’s all. Plus from what I hear CFO’s have a bit more personality than accountants!
