I have two friends who both built a website at around the same time, selling similar products. They both had their sites professionally created, and they spent about the same amount of money. The only difference was that one of them used a web analytics professional and the other tried to do research on his own. You can definitely tell that it made a difference. The one who did it without help spent a lot more time on his business, yet he hasn’t made nearly as much money as the other one has. He told me the other day that he is starting to regret his decision.
