Tattoos and piercings in Asia
I know that for some cultures that placing a tattoo is really a religious act and should only be performed by very qualified people. I do not see so many belly button piercings in Asian countries as you do in what is normally considered Western countries. I wonder if there is some sort of cultural avoidance of this practice. But is that true for everyone? I have to wonder if this would be the case in some places like Tibet or Bhutan? I have never seen anyone with tattoos and piercing from the country of Bhutan so I have to guess that is not the case.
